CHRISTIAN DIOR A/W 1972 Documented Haute Couture Silk Evening Dress Size M

2100 EUR
A stunning Christian Dior Haute Couture evening dress from the A/W 1972 collection designed by Marc Bohan - a well-documented piece, published in L'Officiel Paris (please see second pic). The dress is made from cream silk crepe and has a strong Marilyn Monroe vibe to it as well as a Grecian goddess appeal with its backless halterneck top and floor length pleated skirt. It is entirely made by hand and features a lightly boned built in corset that closes with a row of metal hooks & eyes at the back plus a row of hidden snap buttons, a back zipper and a metal hook with eye above. The halterneck top closes with two metal hooks & eyes at the back of the neck. Fully lined in finest cream silk. Made in France, numbered 0I023.

Condition
The dress is in overall excellent condition with the following very minor flaws: A few very minor pulls to the fabric, a faint mark right at the hem center front (see picture, will not show when worn), signs of age to the metal zipper and a replaced hook at the halterneck top. Originally this dress used to have a belt (see L'Officiel picture) - you can still see the stitches where it used to be attached on front and back (see pictures).
